Postural Yoga
Meditation is the true core practice of yoga, but postural practice has much to give. I lead postural practices that invite you to centre in the sensation of the body, utilizing a sensitivity to the energy body in the discovery of physical alignment.
Postural practices I teach are gentle and accessible, always with the possibility to modify, and my suggestions are an invitation rather than a command.
A profound element of postural yoga is the rhythmic balance of the breath and movement. The effects of movement beautifully anchored to the slow movement of inhale and exhale are profound.
During a postural yoga class we may also explore the use of mantra, mudra, bandha, pranayama and meditation.
